Free 50-days returns overview

Here at Japana we make sure that the products we send to you are checked for exceptional quality and that the packaging is always secure and sturdy, so that you receive undamaged, high quality goods which will last a lifetime. We believe our customers shouldn’t have to worry about buying premium products online. This is why we’ve introduced free 50 days money back guarantee.

How does it work? Simple. If you’re not completely satisfied with your purchase for any reason, send it back within 50 days for free and we’ll give you a full refund. No questions asked.

Our refund and returns policy lasts 50 days. If 50 days have passed since your purchase, we can’t offer you a full refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

Steps:

  1. Email [email protected] to inform you want to return or exchange an item.
  2. Ship to JapanaHome, Otters Brook, Ty Coch Way, Cwmbran, Gwent, NP44 7EZ, United Kingdom and provide a tracking number. Please note that we won’t accept returns unless informed through [email protected] 
  3. Items are inspected and your refund is processed. You will receive an email notifying you of this. 
  4. Credit is automatically applied to your original method of payment within a few working days.

Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

Late or missing refunds

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.

Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Sale items

Only regular priced items may be refunded. Sale items cannot be refunded.

Exchanges

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at [email protected]

Shipping returns

As we offer free 50 days returns, we will refund any postage costs along with arranging a replacement. You will need to send us a copy of your postage receipt in order to receive a refund. If you have any quality concerns, please contact us at [email protected]

Please note that depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary. If you are returning more expensive items, you may consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

Lifetime guarantee

We also offer a lifetime guarantee on our Sakai Kyuba knives range, Wooden magnetic knife stand block and Wall mounted magnetic wood knife rack.

The lifetime guarantee covers any defects in manufacturing and materials that functionally impair the products mentioned above. Japana will repair or replace any of these products free of charge. Please note that in the case of a set, only the faulty item will be replaced. 

Our lifetime guarantee does not cover:

  • Damage caused by normal wear and tear, accident or negligence. 
  • Damage caused by improper use (knocks, dents, crushing, drops, etc.).
  • Damage due to loss, theft, fire or other causes beyond our control.
  • Damage caused by commercial, professional, or workplace use.
  • Damage due to improper storage.  

 

 All returned items will be posted at the buyer’s expense if sent after 50 days of purchase other than where it’s a manufacturer’s fault. In this instance we will be happy to refund any postage costs along with arranging a replacement. You will need to send us a copy of your postage receipt in order to receive a refund.
